Craig W. Morrison, Esq. has been in practice since 1990 and has devoted his legal career to helping California workers wronged and injured while on the job. 

He has vast experience handling all manner of workers' compensation cases, including death claims, brain injuries, serious and willful violations, 132 (a) claims, toxic exposures and “cumulative trauma” cases for retired or retiring workers. 

Mr. Morrison has had over 200 trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and has obtained many millions of dollars in awards and settlements. He routinely and successfully handles cases, tries and settles them, against some of the biggest employers, insurance companies, and worker’s compensation defense law firms in California.

Mr. Morrison also regularly handles Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADA carve out") cases not venued within the workers' compensation system (ironworkers, basic crafts, IBEW).

PRACTICE LOCATIONS:

• Mr. Morrison regularly handles cases for clients throughout the entire state of California and has regularly appeared at Workers' Compensation Appeals Boards in the following locations: San Francisco, Oakland, Fresno, Stockton, Sacramento, Bakersfield, Redding, San Diego, Grover Beach, Riverside, and the greater Los Angeles area.  Mr. Morrison has numerous clients living throughout the United States and overseas.

HONORS AND AWARDS:

• Certified Specialist, Workers' Compensation Law, California State Board of Legal Specialization in 2002.  In order to become a Certified Specialist, an attorney is required to show that he/she is an expert in all areas of workers' compensation law, must demonstrate that he/she has substantial experience in all areas of said law, and must obtain recommendations of attorneys and Judges in the location where he/she practices.
• A-V Rated since 2003.  Craig W. Morrison, Esq. has been awarded the highest rating available by the Martindale-Hubbell attorney rating service.  This highest rating (called “A-V” rating) is reserved for attorneys with “very high to preeminent” legal ability and “very high” ethical standards.  According to the Martindale-Hubbell, an A-V Rating “reflects and attorney who reached the heights of professional excellence” and “is recognized for the highest level of skill and integrity.”
• Listed in the Martindale-Hubbell “Directory of Preeminent Attorneys” every year since 2005.  This honor is “limited to only the most distinguished law practices; those that have achieved the A-V Rating.  The “A signifies the highest level of legal ability, while the “V” denotes “very high” adherence to the professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence”.

If you have any non-worker's compensation claims (personal injury, social security wage and hour disputes or discrimination/wrongful termination), Mr. Morrison will refer you to local experienced attorneys who can handle such matters.

• INTERNSHIPS DURING LAW SCHOOL:
• United States Army Judge Advocate General, Third Armored Division, Frankfurt West Germany where he prosecuted crimes committed by Army members stationed in West Germany

• AFTER LAW SCHOOL:
• After Law School, Mr. Morrison worked at an insurance defense firm in Walnut Creek representing large insurance companies.  Thereafter, he worked for another Contra Costa County firm representing workers in Employment Discrimination cases.  Finally in 1996, he commenced employment with the Law Offices of Stanley J. Bell in San Francisco, where he worked in the Civil Litigation Department before taking over the Worker’s Compensation Department in 1999. In 2003, he opened his own law firm to continue fighting for California's injured workers.
